The total number of non-Western immigrants in Limburg is rising, and therefore the influence of Islam in the province will become more and more visible. According to the "Trend Report for Limburg Province" the province should become aware of multi-cultural problems. Currently 20% of the population are immigrants, with only 25% from non-Western lands. Nationally, there are more than 50% non-Western immigrants among the total number of immigrants.
